Abstract

Digital transformation has become a major catalyst in changing the way companies manage talent, especially in the dynamic and innovation-based startup sector. This research aims to analyze the impact of digital transformation on talent management in startup companies in Indonesia. Using a qualitative approach and case study method, data was collected through semi-structured interviews with human resource managers from five technology startups as well as document analysis of company reports and academic articles. The research identified the implementation of technologies such as artificial intelligence for recruiting, cloud-based collaboration platforms for performance management, and e-learning for employee training. The research results show that digital transformation increases operational efficiency, strengthens employee engagement, and encourages a culture of innovation. However, challenges such as budget constraints, resistance to change, and skills gaps are major barriers to adoption of new technologies. However, the long-term benefits of this transformation are much more significant, especially in creating a work environment that is productive, inclusive and adaptive to change. This research also highlights the importance of the role of leadership in driving a digital vision and building an organizational culture that supports technology adoption. With the right strategy, startup companies can take advantage of digital transformation to increase their competitiveness in a global market that is increasingly technology-based. This study contributes to the digital talent management literature and offers practical guidance for startup companies in facing the digital era.
